Koffee & Kayaking- A Brunch on The Great Miami

☕ Koffee & Kayak: A Morning on the River 🛶

YOU MUST REGISTER HERE!

Are you looking for a peaceful way to start your Saturday while making a real difference in our community? We are thrilled to bring back one of our favorite traditions: the Koffee & Kayak fundraiser!

The Experience
This event is designed for comfort, relaxation, and confidence-building. Whether you are a total beginner who has never held a paddle or a seasoned pro looking for a leisurely morning, this trip is for you. We will launch from West Carrollton and glide down a gentle 5.7-mile stretch of the Great Miami River toward Miamisburg.

The goal of Koffee & Kayak is to help everyone feel at home on the water. We move at a relaxed pace, taking in the morning mist and local wildlife. Along our route, we will pull over at a scenic spot to stretch our legs and enjoy a riverside brunch, snacks, and fresh coffee. It’s the perfect time to soak in the views and connect with your fellow paddlers.

Guided & Beginner Friendly
We want everyone to feel safe and confident. This is a fully guided trip, led by experts who will be with you every stroke of the way. We provide everything you need to get out there:

  • High-quality single or tandem kayaks
  • Life jackets (PFDs) and all safety gear
  • Professional guidance and river safety instruction

This event is COED and open to everyone! Families, beginners, and solo adventurers are all welcome to join our growing river community.
Paddle for a Purpose: The Adventure Grant
Your participation in this event is truly transformative. A portion of every ticket goes directly toward the Hope Wanders Adventure Grant program. Our big goal this year is to ensure that on every single trip we lead, there is a designated spot filled by an Adventure Grant recipient. These grants provide a deserving woman—who may be facing financial or personal hardships—the opportunity to experience the healing power of nature and adventure at no cost.

When you sign up for Koffee & Kayak, you aren’t just buying a ticket for yourself; you are helping provide a life-changing outdoor experience for a woman in our community.

Weather & River Conditions

Safety is always our top priority. Paddle events may be delayed, modified, or canceled due to unsafe weather or river conditions including, but not limited to:

  • Severe weather
  • Lightning
  • Flooding or unsafe river flow
  • High winds
  • Other hazardous natural conditions

If an event must be canceled due to weather or river safety concerns, participants will receive a transferable event credit valid for another Hope Wanders or Taiters Kayak paddle event during the current season.

We will offer at least one alternate event date—and in most cases, several available event options—to ensure participants have opportunities to reschedule their experience.

Participant Transfers

If you are unable to attend your registered event, your registration may be transferred to another available paddle event during the season with advance notice, based on availability.

Organizer Cancellations

If an event is canceled by organizers for reasons unrelated to weather, river safety, or natural conditions, a refund may be issued.

Communication

Participants will be notified via email and/or social media regarding weather updates, event modifications, or cancellations. Final weather-related decisions are typically made the morning of the event when conditions can be most accurately assessed.

Thank you for supporting Hope Wanders and helping us continue creating meaningful outdoor experiences and community adventures.
